Questions, answered

What is uTrack?
uTrack is a mobile app for tracking youth sports games — currently soccer and basketball. You log plays live from the sideline on a live game view, and the app turns that into game statistics, box scores, reports, and a play-by-play feed you can share.
Which sports does it support?
Soccer and basketball. Both are fully supported — live tracking, box scores, game reports, and season reports. The live game screen and stat set are tailored to each sport.
When is it available?
uTrack is live now on the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad, and on Google Play for Android. Search for "uTrack Sports" or download it directly on the App Store or Google Play.
What will it cost?
uTrack is free to download and free to use — all stat tracking, game reports, the basketball shot chart, full box scores, and season-long reports are free, forever. Premium is an optional subscription, only for coaches who want to share or export polished reports to parents and players. Premium is $9.99 per year. Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID or Google Play account.
Is all stat tracking really free?
Yes. Every stat, every substitution, every game — tracked free, forever. uTrack never locks you out of logging a game or viewing any report, including the shot chart, full box scores, and season-long reports. The only thing Premium adds is the ability to share or export those reports. Keeping a complete game book from the sideline is always free.
What devices does it run on?
uTrack runs on iPhone and iPad, and on Android phones and tablets. The live game screen runs in landscape so you get the full field or court while you track.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There's no sign-up wall — install the app and start setting up your team. Your data lives on your device.
Can a player be on more than one team?
Yes. You add each player once to your master player list, then assign them to any team's roster from that list — so the same player can be on more than one team without re-entering their details.
Where is my data stored?
Your team data — teams, players, games, and stats — is stored locally on your device. uTrack doesn't require a server account to keep your stats. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
Can I share stats with parents and players?
Sharing and export is a premium feature. With premium, you can share any report — game stats, box score, play-by-play, season totals — as PDF, HTML, CSV, or Excel, using your phone’s normal sharing (email, messages, wherever your team lives). Free users can view all their game reports in the app.
What can I track during a game?
It depends on the sport. For soccer: goals, assists, shots, shots on goal, saves, fouls, corners, cards, and more — 21 trackable stats in total, including full goalkeeper stats. For basketball: points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, turnovers, fouls, and shooting splits, plus a shot chart that maps where every shot came from. Both sports track substitutions, minutes played, and plus/minus for every player automatically.
Can I try it before tracking a real game?
Yes. Every install includes a finished demo game — one for each sport — so you can explore the live screen, stats, and reports with real data before your first real game.
What's on the roadmap?
We're actively adding features and improving uTrack. One direction we're excited about: more sports — soccer and basketball are just the start, with additional sports planned, each with their own tailored stat set.
